Crest Whitestrips Premium
So I've been meaning to get a teeth whitening kit for a while now. Nearly every time I would go to Target or the drug store I would stand and stare at the teeth whitening kits section and contemplate getting one, but never did until a few days ago. I decided once and for all it's time for me to have whiter teeth, and I went to Walgreens to have a look at what they had. 1 box of Crest Whitestrips Premium cost about 35$, the Walgreens brand was 24.99 for their knockoff version. I decided to go to Cub Foods because a friend of mine told me the Cub brand ones worked for her and were around 20$. When I got there I was blown away to find that Cub was carrying double packs of C.W.P. for the same price as the Walgreens brand! 24.99 for not one but TWO packs of Crest Whitestrips Premium, with a little sample of Advance Seal to boot! I couldn't say no, I bought it up right then and there.
I have been using the strips for 3 days now. I have been following the two applications per day so far, and I have been doing them back-to-back, I find it easier to get it over with in one big chunk. On the box it says that my teeth should be noticibly whiter after 3 days, so I took some before pictures, and some pictures today to compare to see if there really was a noticible difference.
Here are before and after 3 days without flash, in natural sunlight (these pictures might be a little off, since I don't remember my teeth being THAT yellow before, the lighting might be slightly different)
looks like a pretty huge difference, right? Well keep in mind the lighting looks a little different between the two pictures, but still there is defnintely an improvement.
And now before and after 3 days pictures with flash. Both are taken on the same camera with the same setting. I feel these pictures are best representative of the actual change over the last 3 days.
So yeah, a very sublte improvement, but I think it exists!
My review of Crest Whitestrips Premium so far:
the strips I find pretty uncomfortable. The only way I can get them to stay on my teeth is by closing my lips over them and kind of suctioning my mouth shut. Which isn't too bad, they don't bother me much at all when I do that. However, to say you could talk on the phone and basically go about your life with them on like they do in the instructions is a pretty far stretch.
I have experienced some sensitivity. The first application I had shooting pains in one of my teeth. I bought a tube of Sensodine toothpaste and have been using that and have had no more pains while I am using the strips, I have a small amount of sensitivity besides that, but it's by no means unbearable and I do think the Sensodine is helping a lot, I would highly encourage anyone who is planning to use the strips to pick up a tube. I am also trying (and it is hard!) to not drink any coffee or drinks like that which can stain your teeth during this process.
That's about it for now! I am excited to see the end product (which will probably be after the second box, as my teeth were pretty stained to begin with) and I will definitely post about it when the time comes.
